I remember sitting across from my dear friend, both of us swirling our drinks, words spilling out like they had been waiting for years to be spoken, lost in one of those conversations where time doesn’t exist. We were talking about love. About patterns. About life. About the same lessons dressed in different disguises.
Ahh, we had crazy stories.lol..
She shared what was weighing on her heart, and as I spoke, I heard the truth pour out of me, raw and untamed.
She wasn’t changing. Not really. I told her.
I remembered my own story. I was just moving pieces around. A different city. A different man. A different career. New names. New faces. New places. But the same damn patterns. The same quiet ache. The same script playing out in a slightly altered set.
When that realization hit me, it did not come softly… It crashed my identity like a wrecking ball through glass. It wasn’t just a thought. It was a knowing. A visceral, body-deep knowing. That was when real change started to happen for me.
We all hear it, don’t we? Everything is a mirror. We create our reality.
We are the dreamers dreaming ourselves awake.
It is the kind of thing you soak up in books. You buy trainings to really get this. You hire mentors for this. You hear it in podcasts, in deep conversations at two in the morning. But there is a gap between knowing something in your mind and feeling it in your bones.
The shift does not happen because you collect wisdom like souvenirs.
It happens through life’s experiences ,through pain, through challenges. When the observation itself transforms you, not just intellectually but cellularly.
It happens when the energy inside you changes.
No amount of wisdom can help if there’s no real integration… You have to feel the discomfort in your life to see clearly how it’s keeping you small.
How it’s trapping you in the same patterns.
Real change, the kind that alters the course of your life, does not come from rearranging external circumstances. It does not come from swapping partners, switching jobs, or repainting the walls of your existence and calling it a fresh start.
It comes when something inside you wakes up. When the wind of change moves through your body like an ancient force, lifting the fog, pulling back the veil, and showing you, without a shadow of a doubt, that you deserve better. Better love. Better friendships. A better life. Whatever that means for you.
But most people, when they feel that restlessness, that ache of dissatisfaction, try to fix it by shifting things outside of themselves. They think if I change my job, my partner, my location, then I will find peace.
But that is not how it works.
And so, the cycle repeats.
You didn’t leave the past behind. You just repainted the walls and called it the future.
Because the real work, the only work that truly matters, is an inside job. It was really always an inside job. I know you will read this like I did and hear it a thousand times. Until it hits your energy.
You hold a universe within you. The only one that is real. The only one that shapes everything you see. And when you stop just knowing that and start feeling it, deep in your cells, in your energy, in the marrow of your being, then and only then will the world outside of you shift to match.
And when that happens, reality will not take years to change.
It will change instantly.
