What it Means to Be a Woman

Being a woman is not something I do,
it’s something I have choose to be in this lifetime, in every breath, every cycle, every rise and fall of emotion that lives in my body

to be a woman is to move with the moon
to bleed with the tides,
to birth life, not just babies, but worlds, visions, art, soul

We birth gods and goddesses
We create. We destroy
We purify
We build a home where there was only dust
We breathe life into the ordinary and make it sacred

to be a woman is to live inside a temple of sensation
to feel the pain, the pleasure, the depth
to feel everything

My hormones change. My body changes.
Sometimes I rage
Sometimes I cry for no reason
Sometimes I just know things I can’t explain

I am not too much.
I am a f***ing ocean

they tried to tame the woman long time ago
tried to shame the blood, the curves, the softness, the wild
But what if the wild feminine isn’t chaotic…
what if she’s just misunderstood?

What people fear is what they can’t control
What they don’t understand, they try to silence

But we’re not here to be understood
We’re here to be Re-membered

and I celebrate that I chose this body in this lifetime
I celebrate the blood, the breasts, the belly, the soul
The depth of emotion, the sacred cycles, the power to bring forth life and death and everything in between

I celebrate the women who came before me
my mother, my grandmothers, my sisters , the forgotten witches, the medicine women, the wild ones who whispered to the stars when no one was listening, they opned the Portal for all of US

This is what it means to be a woman
Not a title, not a label
but a whole damn universe wrapped in skin

Sending you moonlight & Truth
